Government backed schemes available that could provide financial support towards paying for childcare fees.

As our centre is now Ofsted registered, you can use a variety of these schemes at Prestige: The Tuition Centre. The various schemes and their eligibility conditions are listed below.

Please visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk for the most up to date information. If you have any additional questions, please call us at 079 5743 1131 or fill out our contact form.

Childcare Vouchers:

  • For working families
  • Children under the age of 15
  • Tax and National Insurance savings of up to £900 per year.

The amount you choose to deduct for Childcare Vouchers is deducted from your wages before you pay tax and National Insurance. As a result, you pay less tax and National Insurance because your pre-tax wage is lowered. Many people qualify for Childcare Vouchers but are unaware of it. Normally, parents only use Childcare vouchers for children attending a nursery, however at Prestige: The Tuition Centre, they can be used for children aged 15 and under.
To find out if you are qualified, contact your employer’s human resources department; it is a scheme that any firms, regardless of size, can sign up for.

 TAX-FREE CHILDCARE:

  • Tax-free childcare available for families on Universal Credit
  • Up to 85% off when off when you apply for childcare
  • Working families
  • With children aged 0-15 (or 0-16 if disabled)
  • The government will contribute an extra £2 for every £8 you pay in, up to a maximum of £2,000 per child each year.

For children with disabilities, extra assistance is available.

Tax Credits for Childcare

  • Working families
  • With children aged 0 to 15 (or 0 to 16 if disabled)
  • Get up to 70% off your childcare charges, up to a certain amount

If you are qualified for Working Tax Credit and work at least 16 hours per week, you can claim up to 70% of your qualifying childcare expenditures for children aged 0-15 (or 0-17 for disabled children). Depending on your income, you might receive up to £122.50 per week for a single child or £210 for two or more children.

You must pay for childcare that is registered as a childcare establishment, such as Prestige: The Tuition Centre. Even if you are not working, you may be eligible for the Child Tax Credit. To find out if you are eligible for working tax credits for childcare, call the HMRC helpdesk at 0345 300 3900. It is critical that you inform HMRC.

Universal Credits for Childcare

  • Working families
  • Children aged 0 to 15
  • Save up to 85% on childcare expenses, subject to a cap.

If you and any partner work or are about to start working and are claiming Universal Credit, you can get up to 85% off childcare fees for children aged 0 to 15.

As Prestige: The Tuition Centre is now Ofsted registered this scheme can now be utilised to help pay for your child’s tuition fees. You may be eligible for up to £646 per month for one child or up to £1,108 for two or more children.

Childcare Grants:

  • Full time students
  • With children aged 0 to 14 (or 0 to 16 if disabled)
  • Get up to 85% off your childcare costs, up to a certain amount

Full-time students who receive or qualify for a student financial aid package are eligible for the grant. As Prestige: The Tuition Centre is an Ofsted approved tuition centre, the grant may be utilised there. This grant will not be available to you if you are a part-time student or if you get Working Tax Credits.

In contrast to payments you might get as part of other student finance instalments, the grant is not repaid and is a stand-alone amount. At www.gov.uk/childcare-grant, you can obtain additional information and submit an application.

Salary Sacrifice:

  • Working families
  • With children aged 0 to 15

If you participate in a salary sacrifice arrangement, you can give up a portion of your compensation in exchange for a non-cash benefit, such as childcare, allowing you to save on tax and National Insurance.
If the employer does not offer childcare vouchers through a third-party provider, everyone who works for or owns a limited company is eligible to participate in the salary sacrifice plan.
More information is also available on the HMRC website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/salary-sacrifice-and-the-effects-on-payees.

FAQS
Do I have to be out of work or on benefits to receive financial assistance for my children's tuition?
There are several financial assistance programmes available. They each have their own set of requirements. Please go over the requirements for each one separately. You may discover that your personal circumstances make you eligible. On the following website, www.childcarechoices.gov.uk, you can enter your personal circumstances to see which schemes you may be eligible for.
What are childcare vouchers, and how can I find out if I qualify for them?
Childcare vouchers are provided by specialised providers with whom your company must be registered. Vouchers can then be purchased each month from your salary before your tax and national insurance contributions are deducted.

As a result, by paying less tax and national insurance, you can save up to £933 every year. Many firms, both public and private, are registered with child voucher providers; check with your HR department to see if your company is one of them.

Who is qualified for Tax-Free Childcare?
Working parents with children under the age of 12 (or under the age of 17 if disabled) can open an online government tax-free childcare account and use it to pay for registered childcare. The government will supplement the funds placed into this childcare account. The government will match every £8 you contribute with an additional £2. Parents might receive up to £2,000 per child each year. For disabled children, you can receive up to £4,000 per year.
Who is eligible for Tax Credits for Childcare?
Tax Credits for Childcare is a component of Working Tax Credit that assists low-income individuals in paying for registered or approved childcare. It makes no difference whether you work for someone else or are self-employed.
What is Universal Credits for Childcare and who is eligible?
Universal Credit is a payout that assists you with your living expenses. It is paid monthly. If you have a low income or are unemployed, you may be able to acquire it. If you use a registered/approved childcare provider, Universal Credit can help with childcare costs. It makes no difference how many hours you put in. You can receive the following amounts for childcare expenses:

  • A monthly maximum of £646.35 for one child
  • A monthly maximum of £1108.04 for two or more children

You (and your partner if you live with them) will usually need to either:
be working – it makes no difference how many hours you or your partner work
have a job offer

What exactly is registered or authorised childcare?
Registered or approved childcare providers are mainly those who are registered with one of the following organisations:
England – OFSTED
Scotland – The Care Inspectorate
Wales – Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales (CSSIW)

Prestige: The Tuition Centre is a registered childcare provider since we are registered with the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills (Ofsted) and have an Ofsted Registration Number.

A childcare grant is what?
Childcare Grants are supplementary income-based funds designed to assist students who have children in covering the expense of childcare while they are enrolled in classes. They might be qualified for assistance with childcare expenses if they:

  • enrol in higher education full-time
  • have children under the age of 15, or under the age of 17 if they require special education.

This grant is available to full-time students studying an eligible:

  • undergraduate course
  • Initial Teacher Training (ITT) course
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

The grant is paid on top of your other student loans with no repayment requirements.

How does salary sacrifice work?
Salary sacrifice is the agreement to give up a portion of your pay in exchange for your employer providing you with additional advantages. Childcare vouchers are among the benefits. Your employer offers you tax-free childcare vouchers in exchange for your agreement to forego a portion of your earnings.
However, they must be state-registered or Ofsted-approved if you want to select your own childcare or nursery. These vouchers can be used at our centres because Prestige: The Tuition Centre is an Ofsted Registered Childcare Provider.
Depending on the tax rate you pay, there are restrictions on how much you can claim in tax-free coupons.
s Prestige Tuition Centre able to apply for me to any of these programmes?
We are unable to apply for these programmes on your behalf because you typically have to provide sensitive and personal information. To get free, unbiased assistance, feel free to phone us at 079 5743 1131
I don't qualify for any of the programmes; is there any way you could help me with my fees?
Referring new clients to our business is the simplest approach to achieve further tuition fee reductions for your child. Following these easy steps will allow you to refer someone.

  • Refer a friend or family member to our centre by either filling in a referral leaflet or simply telling them about us
  • As soon as they register their child, make sure they specify your name
  • For each referral that signs up, your monthly charge is decreased by £5.

It is possible to cut fees to as little as £40 per month.
